    Battistero Paleocristiano
    To view the ruins of this ancient, 4th century baptistry, visitors must enter through Milan's Duomo. It is widely believed that this is where Augustine was baptized by Milan's first bishop and patron saint, Saint Ambrose.

    Chiesa di San Lorenzo Maggiore

    The Chiesa di San Lorenzo Maggiore is Milan's oldest church. Built in the 4th century, some 5th century mosaics remain, one depicting a beardless Christ.

    Santa Maria delle Grazie

    On a fresco in the Santa Maria delle Grazie is Leonardo da Vinci's famous Last Supper, completed in 1497. After much abuse and damage during the Second World War, appointments must be made to view the work and guests must pass through a series of machines to remove pollutants from their clothing and protect what remains.

    Chiesa di Sant'Ambrogio

    Saint Ambrose's remains are on display here at the church he commissioned himself in the 4th century. Little remains of the original building, reconstructed in the 11th century, but the newer structure is an example of Lombard Romanesque architecture that is repeated many time throughout the region.
